About Camscore stats
What is Camscore Stats?
Camscore Stats, or Camscore Statistics, is a method of providing models and members alike the opportunity to see how a model's camscore changes over time. There was no ability to see how a model's camscore fluctuated over time, something this site attempts to address.
Are you afflilated with MyFreeCams?
No, there is no affiliation with MyFreeCams.com. The site was originally conceived out of curiosity about Camscore, and how it altered for several models (as it seemed counter intuitive at the time).
Why can't I find model "....."
Sadly, the way model discovery works, only models appearing in the offline models list will appear on the site. There are several reasons why models may not appear, or appear with limited stats:
- Low camscore
- hidden profile
- Model changed her name
There is not much to be done for hidden profiles. However, for those not appearing, or changed their name, please use the submit a model form for them to be picked up!
My favourite model isn't here?
If your favourite MyFreeCams webcam model is not in the database, then please add her via the "Submit a model" link in the side menu.
What data can I see?
Only the webcam models name, camscore and login dates are stored. However, we store the history of the models camscore. This enables you to see their camscore over a period of time.
How are the rankings achieved?
Since a webcam models camscore is recorded daily, it is possible to see whether it has increased, or decreased, since the previous day. Furthermore, we can order the models by camscore. This allows us to provide a "ranking" - whereby you may see how a model fares in the overall model list. Based upon how much the camscore fluctuates per day, we may also rank the camscores by this fluctuation. The side menu shows Highest camscores and Daily/Monthly changes.
Why does the profile page use an Applet - and what risk?
To ascertain a model's online status requires visiting a URL on MFC. The Applet allows your browser to do this - rather than this webserver. The Applet visits MFC and displays the information on the web page for you. The risk is zero from the Applet - that I can assure you - but it is your decision whether to trust me! (anti virus software would alert you if it was malicious). If you choose not to you will still see the exact same information as you did before, the Applet does not do anything else!
Do you plan for more?
Right now the site should be viewed as experimental. It is a test to see if there is interest beyond my own, and if there is, to offer more in the way of understanding data.
Nice so far, but I wish you would ......
If you have any suggestions or feedback - or even just wish to say "Hi" - then please use the form on the contact page. Please do provide a valid email address if you wish a response!
